PHELLOS ANCIENT CITY
Located just 2 km from Bademlique, the ancient city of Phellos offers an excellent hiking route. The ancient city of Phellos is situated northeast of Kaş, in the Fellen-Yayla region, at an altitude of 950 meters above sea level.
Along with Antiphellos, which it faces, it is one of the few Lycian cities with a Greek name. The Lycian equivalent of the word Phellos, meaning "stony country," is "Vehinda."
Situated on a ridge overlooking the surrounding mountainous region, Phellos was a highly important city in the 4th century BC. However, while it was the main center of settlement in the region, it lost its prominence to Antiphellos, a port city it founded, during the Hellenistic period.

LYCIAN WAY
The Lycian Way is a hiking trail in Türkiye, approximately 520 km long, stretching from Fethiye to Antalya. Taking an average of 29 days to complete,[1] the ancient Lycian Way is the first long-distance hiking trail created by marking and mapping a section of the ancient Lycian paths on the Teke Peninsula.Used by the Lycians for trade, military, and the transport of people and animals, the trail was designed by Kate Clow, a British/Turkish amateur historian who has lived in Türkiye since 1989, and opened in 1999 as a 509-kilometer (316-mile) trail.[2]
Garanti Bank sponsored the trail marking, which was signed by a group of volunteers organized by Clow.[3][4][5]As of 2023, the length of the Lycian Way is approximately 760 kilometers (470 miles). This trail starts in Hisarönü, Ovacık, Fethiye, and goes to Geyikbayırı, Konyaaltı, about 20 km (12 miles) from Antalya. The trail is marked with red and white trail lines.

The road takes its name from the Lycian civilization.[5] In an inscription called Stadiasmus Patarensis, found in Patara Port and translated by Prof. Dr. Sencer Şahin in 1994, Lycia is mentioned as a Roman province in 43 AD, and 69 roads and 53 cities in the region are listed.[citation needed]
It is considered one of the best long-distance hiking trails in the world.[6] The view of Gelidonya Lighthouse, located on the trail, was considered the most beautiful view in Türkiye in 2007. In addition, the first underwater excavation in the world in which an entire ship was recovered was carried out in American Bay, which can be seen in this region.
